GTA Online Is Giving Away Up to $1.5M Free Before July 13 — Here's How to Claim It
Free money, real deadline
Rockstar is handing out up to GTA$1.5 million in free in-game cash right now, and the window closes July 13. It's part of the Fine Art Collector Program, the prep event leading into GTA Online's new Kortz Center Heist. Whether or not you care about the heist, the free cash is worth grabbing, and it's a low-effort way to practice the money game before GTA 6.
Here's what's on the table and how to claim each piece.
The three free rewards
-
Log in for GTA$500,000. Just play GTA Online at least once before July 13. You also get a free Benefactor Turreted Limo, an armored car, from Warstock.
-
Run any one heist for GTA$1,000,000. Complete any heist before July 13 to bank another million plus a NOOSE outfit. Cayo Perico solo is the fastest way to tick this box.
-
Mansion owners get an Art Studio discount. If you own a Mansion and log in during the event, you get a GTA$1,000,000 discount on the Art Studio upgrade plus a free Annihilator Stealth helicopter.
Stack the first two and that's up to GTA$1.5 million for things you were probably going to do anyway. Rockstar usually delivers event rewards within about 72 hours, so don't panic if the cash isn't instant.
What's confirmed and what isn't
The rewards above and the July 13 deadline come straight from Rockstar's official Newswire, so treat those as locked. The heist itself is expected to launch July 14, but that specific date is a community projection based on Rockstar's GTA+ timing, not an official announcement. Rockstar has only said July. We'll update this the moment the real date lands.
Why this matters for GTA 6
Here's the VCH angle. Heists are how the GTA economy pays big, and the mechanics that make them profitable, planning, approach choice, prep versus payout, are the same instincts you'll use when GTA 6's economy opens on November 19. Grabbing free cash now is nice. Learning to think in GTA money terms now is the real win. Players who already understand how a heist pays will read GTA 6's launch economy faster than everyone else.
