GTA 6 Map: All 6 Confirmed Regions and Where the Money Will Be (2026)

Rockstar confirmed 6 regions across Leonida. Here's every one, what's confirmed vs still a leak, and our honest take on where the money will be.

GTA 6 Map: All 6 Confirmed Regions and Where the Money Will Be

Grand Theft Auto 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, and it's set in the state of Leonida, Rockstar's modern reimagining of Florida, with Vice City (a present-day Miami) as its beating heart. Rockstar has officially confirmed six regions, and each one has a completely different personality: glamour, swamp, mountain, island, industrial port, and farmland.

Here's the honest breakdown most accounts won't give you: what Rockstar has actually confirmed, what's still just a leak or fan theory, and since this is a money hub, our take on where the money will likely be in each region when the game drops.

How we label everything in this guide

CONFIRMED means official Rockstar: trailers, screenshots, the website. RUMORED means leaks, datamines, or fan mapping. Not official. OUR TAKE means our prediction and analysis. Not fact, just where we think the money goes.

We do this because guessing dressed up as fact is how you get burned. GTA 6 isn't out yet, so nobody has real in-game money methods. Anyone who tells you otherwise is making it up.

The map at a glance

CONFIRMED: The setting is the state of Leonida, a fictional Florida. CONFIRMED: The main city is Vice City, a modern-day Miami. CONFIRMED: The six regions are Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Mount Kalaga, Port Gellhorn, and Ambrosia. CONFIRMED: Release is November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. CONFIRMED: Standard is $79.99, Ultimate is $99.99. Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026. RUMORED: Community estimates put the map around twice the size of GTA 5. Rockstar has not confirmed a number. RUMORED: Sub-districts like Little Haiti, South Beach, and Washington Beach have strong trailer evidence but aren't officially named.

Now the part you came for, region by region.

Vice City, the glamour capital

CONFIRMED: Vice City is the neon-soaked, modern-Miami centerpiece of the map. Rockstar describes it as the sun and fun capital of America, the glamour, hustle, and greed of America in one city. Confirmed spots include the beaches of Ocean Beach, the panaderias of Little Cuba, and VC Port, which Rockstar calls the cruise ship capital of the world. It's the primary urban hub and the main stage for Jason and Lucia's story.

RUMORED: Sub-districts like South Beach, Washington Beach, Little Haiti, and the Venetian Islands have heavy trailer evidence but aren't officially named.

OUR TAKE: This is where the high-end money will live. Every past GTA has put its flashiest, highest-ceiling money activities in the big city: nightlife, high-end property, vehicle and luxury economies, and the highest-visibility heists. If GTA 6 follows the pattern, Vice City is where the biggest single scores and the most premium businesses will concentrate. If you only have time to master one region's economy at launch, our bet is this is the one.

The Leonida Keys, the island economy

CONFIRMED: A Florida Keys style chain of tropical islands connected by long bridges over turquoise water, with a laid-back resort feel. This is where Jason and Lucia begin the game, with an early safehouse on one of the islands.

RUMORED: Scuba diving, coral-reef fishing, and saltwater activities have been widely reported from trailer analysis but aren't fully detailed by Rockstar.

OUR TAKE: Expect the Keys to lean into water-based money: boating, diving for underwater salvage, and tourism-adjacent activities. Historically, water and collectible-hunting activities in GTA have been steady, low-overhead earners rather than big scores. Good money to chip away at solo, probably not where the whales play.

Grassrivers, the wilderness economy

CONFIRMED: Rockstar's version of the Everglades, a vast subtropical wetland of swamps, cypress forests, and slow rivers. Confirmed as a hub for hunting, fishing, and wildlife, with alligators roaming freely.

RUMORED: A wildlife or poaching organization and specific hunting mechanics have appeared in analysis but aren't officially spelled out.

OUR TAKE: Wilderness regions in Rockstar games, like Red Dead's hunting and trapping economy, reward patience over flash. If GTA 6 carries any of that DNA, Grassrivers could host hunting and fishing income, contraband running through the swamps, and off-the-grid criminal work. Our read: a quieter, grindier money zone that's reliable, not glamorous.

Mount Kalaga, the remote highlands

CONFIRMED: The northernmost region, a national park with forests, lakes, canyons, rivers, and mountain terrain. The most remote, scenic part of Leonida, with freshwater fishing.

RUMORED: Dangerous wildlife like bears and panthers, plus remote stranger missions and hidden secrets, are commonly cited from leaks and comparisons, not officially confirmed.

OUR TAKE: Remote regions tend to hide high-value secrets, collectibles, and one-off scores rather than repeatable grinds. We'd expect Mount Kalaga to reward exploration, hidden stashes and discovery-based money, more than a steady income loop. A region for the players who explore every corner.

Port Gellhorn, the industrial hub

CONFIRMED: Rockstar calls this Leonida's forgotten coast, a faded West Coast tourist town of cheap motels, shut-down attractions, and empty strip malls, now running on malt liquor, painkillers, and truck stop energy drinks. A biker presence and a new economy are baked into Rockstar's own description.

RUMORED: Its role as a primary shipping and logistics center with active rail lines comes from community mapping.

OUR TAKE: Industrial ports scream smuggling, cargo, and logistics-based money. If GTA 6 has any import and export or contraband systems, Port Gellhorn is our bet for where they're centered. Rockstar literally wrote a new economy into the town's description, and we read that as a heavy hint that criminal enterprise money lives here.

Ambrosia, the farmland and biker economy

CONFIRMED: Leonida's agricultural and industrial heartland, beside Lake Leonida. Rockstar's own text says the Allied Crystal sugar refinery provides the jobs, while the local biker gang provides almost everything else. It's framed explicitly as a place where the battle for the health and wealth of Leonida begins.

RUMORED: Surrounding farmland, factories, and rail networks come from community reconstruction.

OUR TAKE: Rockstar handed us the money story here directly: a legit economy, the refinery, sitting next to a criminal one, the bikers. That's a classic setup for drug and contraband production and distribution money. Our bet is that Ambrosia is where land-based manufacturing and biker-run criminal enterprise money will concentrate. Think of it as the spiritual home of a GTA 6 version of the production businesses that dominate GTA Online now.

So where's the actual money at launch?

Here's the honest bottom line. Nobody knows the real in-game money methods yet. The game isn't out, and anyone posting the best GTA 6 money method today is guessing or lying. What we can do is prepare.

OUR TAKE on the smart play: Vice City is our pick for the highest money ceiling, with big scores and premium businesses. Port Gellhorn and Ambrosia are our picks for criminal-enterprise and production money. Grassrivers, Mount Kalaga, and the Keys look like steadier, lower-overhead or exploration-based income.

The players who win week one won't be the ones grinding hardest. They'll be the ones who walked in with a plan. The single best thing you can do before November 19 is prep in GTA Online now and build the habits that transfer.

Confirmed vs rumored, the honest cheat sheet

CONFIRMED by Rockstar: State of Leonida, with Vice City as the main city. Six regions: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Mount Kalaga, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia. November 19, 2026 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. Standard $79.99, Ultimate $99.99, pre-orders opened June 25, 2026. Each region's core character, from Rockstar's own descriptions.

RUMORED and not official: Exact map size, with a community estimate around twice GTA 5. Specific sub-districts like South Beach and Little Haiti. Specific money methods, businesses, or mechanics in each region. Anything about a neighboring state being explorable.

OUR TAKE, our analysis and not fact: Where the money will likely concentrate in each region, as laid out above.
