GTA 6 Fence Payout Rates: What's Actually Known

2 min readGTA 6 Money HQ

No confirmed fence payout numbers exist yet. Here's what Rockstar has said, what RDR2 suggests, and our commitment to real numbers within 24 hours of launch.

Short answer: nobody knows yet, and anyone giving you a number is making it up.

This page exists because that will change on November 19, 2026. When it does, the real figures go here — sourced, dated, and tagged. Until then, here's everything that is actually known.

What's Confirmed

CONFIRMED — fences pay less than face value. Rockstar's own materials describe a local Fence accepting most stolen goods at a discounted rate. The discount is confirmed. The size of it is not.

CONFIRMED — the mechanic exists. Stash boxes at garages and safehouses, secure storage for hot items, and at least one fence who buys.

UNKNOWN — every single number. The percentage, item values, whether the rate varies by fence or by item class, and whether payouts scale with story progress.

What We Won't Do

Several sites already list specific GTA 6 fence payouts. Those numbers have no source. There is no gameplay footage of a fence transaction, no Rockstar statement on rates, and no leak with figures in it.

We'd rather have an honest empty page than a wrong full one. When a fence payout number appears on this page, it will come with where it came from and when it was verified.

What the RDR2 Precedent Suggests

OUR TAKE — precedent only, not GTA 6 fact.

Rockstar has shipped a fence economy before. In Red Dead Redemption 2, fences bought stolen goods well below value, certain item categories went to specific buyers, and travel time to a fence was a real cost on every run.

If GTA 6 follows that shape, expect a meaningful haircut rather than a token one, and expect the effective rate to depend as much on how far you had to drive as on the item itself.

That's reasoning from pattern, not knowledge.

When This Page Gets Real Numbers

GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026. We'll have verified payout figures on this page within 24 hours of launch, sourced from confirmed player reports and traced back to originals rather than repeated from other sites.

Last verified: no payout data available as of publication.

Want the numbers the moment they exist? We email the Day-One Money Plan to subscribers shortly before November 19, and payout updates go to the list first.
